Oregon State Police continue their
investigation of an injury crash on I-84 near milepost 206.5 Sunday evening at
Troopers discovered a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero SUV with heavy front-end damage
that had caught fire and burned.
The car's driver was a 29 year old of Portland and suffered serious injury. She was
taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, after being pulled from the wreckage by her
passenger - a 35 year old from Hillsboro.
OSP believes the Montero may have rear-ended an oil or gasoline tanker type
semi-truck. Heavy wind in the area may have prevented the truck's driver from knowing the
vehicle had been hit.
OSP is asking for your help in identifying the semi-truck involved in this
incident. (OSP photo)
